Kolor-In-Kiln

My "Kreative" and Supportive Friends

A very good friend of mine owns our local Kolor-N-Kiln Pottery Studio. We have the kind of friendship that leaves off and picks right back up as if we haven’t missed a day in between. She’s a kindred spirit, and I’m so thankful to have our lives cross paths.

Many moons back I taught a class in her studio on a technique that I love to utilize for texturizing bisque, the “bubble technique”. I am a sucker for layers of color and the finish it provides, and I enjoyed passing along this knowledge to her studio participants. One of the many ways that I’ve been supported in a sisterly way through this friendship is by the fundraising opportunities that have been offered via her pottery studio. I deeply appreciate the support of the staff at Kolor-N-Kiln. FIDA, U.S., and the cooperative members in Zorange, Haiti benefitted from the contributions of the investments of your time, space, and assistance with this fundraiser. Thank you, my dear friend, Dr. Blackburn.

Kolor-N-Kiln is a Black and woman-owned Mother & Daughter run business offering ceramic, glass, woodcuts, mosaic crafts, and canvas for painting.
