About Jen

“I am passionate about advocating for underserved cultures, access to education, human rights, and women’s rights, combatting food insecurity, reducing our carbon footprint, and conservation.”

InterArtist Jen Haefeli, the owner of Wild Root Creations, is passionate about her work. Her grandmother gave her the name “Wild Root” when she was little. Jen has always been fond of dandelions because the seeds take flight and dance so delightfully before landing and rooting in their new home.

When Jen decided to begin her business, Wild Root Creations was a natural choice for creating a holistic interaction through her artistic process. Jen Haefeli’s artwork is filled with storylines. She believes the style or application of color is a mere aspect of her process. Having insight into the story behind her work or whom it is benefitting is the true beauty of ownership.

Current Memberships

Wild Root Creations is a collective of Jen Haefeli’s body of work. A very important part of the work that Jen does is non-profit. She feels strongly that there were many talented people who participated in her story, and she would like to contribute to the storylines of others where and when she can. Jen currently sits on the board of HArvest107, a small non-profit organization based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti that focuses on sustainable gardening and education.

What does art have to do with gardening or rural farmers? Jen Haefeli has spent many years working on behalf of small non-profit organizations based in Haiti and she feels that educating and equipping students and farmers in areas all around the world is a perfect match for her work at Wild Root Creations. She often says, “You can’t ever take away an education.”. It is important to support agronomy. It is vital to support independent, small farms.

Jen Haefeli feels that art holds the means to communicate throughout a lifetime. Art fuels the soul and replenishes us. A Wild Root Creation is intended to inspire contemplative thought. Jen loves hearing that her work has provoked memories from those who own her work. This is her goal. Leading the viewer to discover a deeper meaning with color and brush strokes, ink blotches, and splashes, a new and wonderful adventure awaits in each of Jen Haefeli’s Wild Root Creations.

Wild Root Creations are often made in a series, though sometimes individual pieces are created. As a lover of travel, Jen Haefeli’s work is often influenced by her experiences and memories. She listens to music and looks through photos taken on trips to lace storylines throughout her pieces. Colors, songs, people, and the essence of places all throughout the world throughout time can be found in Jen’s work.
